GULF, AIS, and JAS secure exclusive Thai League broadcasting rights, paving the way for Thai football on the global stage

Gulf Development Public Company Limited, Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), and Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS) have officially announced a major partnership with the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) to broadcast all “Thai League” football competitions. The deal spans four seasons from 2025/26 to 2028/29, with a possible extension for an additional two seasons.

This move marks a new chapter in Thai sports history, as it will be the first time that all tiers of national football leagues will be broadcast live, including Thai League 1, Thai League 2, Thai League 3, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the U-21 Youth League, and the Women’s Leagues 1 and 2. The broadcasts will leverage cutting-edge technology and high-definition visuals, setting a new benchmark for sports viewing standards in Thailand. Beyond broadcasting, this collaboration focuses on nurturing Thai football talent–men, women, and youth–while ensuring accessible and inclusive viewing for all Thais. Matches will be available for AIS customers and the general public on AIS PLAY via mobile and home internet networks across the country, as well as on television via MONO29. This ensures a seamless and engaging viewing experience for fans of all ages and demographics.

This groundbreaking collaboration between GULF, AIS, JAS, and the FAT represents a united effort to invigorate the future of Thai football, with an ambition to uplift standards at every level, from broadcast delivering to grassroots and youth football development. A key part of this initiative involves a planned collaboration with the English Premier League to develop Thai players, coaches, and referees, laying the foundation for continuous development of Thailand’s sports industry.

This partnership is expected to generate new opportunities, employment, and inspiration for people across the country, empowering athletes to attain international acclaim and positioning sports as a driving force in Thailand’s economic development. Fueled by commitment, innovation, and confidence in Thai potential, this collaboration is dedicated to the people, the sport, and the country, to capture the hearts of people and global recognition through football.

Mrs. Nualphan Lamsam, President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), said that “During a challenging period for the FAT, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to GULF, AIS, and JAS for recognizing the significance of Thai League, which is the most-watched sport in Thailand and the world’s number one sport. Two years ago, before I took office, the Thai League had no official broadcaster. Today marks a historic day as the Thai League regains its value, thanks to key partners like GULF, AIS, and JAS, who have joined us in leveraging competition standards and long-term stability for the FAT and over 100 professional clubs across all leagues. For the first time ever, all Thai football leagues will be broadcast live, including women’s football league. GULF, AIS, and JAS’s effort aligns with my goal to elevate women’s football, even though it has not been very popular. On behalf of the FAT, I am proud and excited to see the Thai League stepping into a whole new era. I believe that GULF, AIS, and JAS’s role starting this 2025/26 season will make matches more exciting and competitive, enhanced by modern broadcasting, increased foreign player quotas, and advanced refereeing technology like VAR Cross Hair 3D–the only one of its kind in ASEAN. All of this will help restore Thai football to its former glory.”

Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Development Public Company Limited, stated that “GULF has supported Thai football industry for over a decade, backing clubs across T1, T2, and T3. Our decision to support the FAT stems from our ambition to see Thailand win on the international stage. My dream is to see Thailand in the World Cup.

Our support emerged during discussions about the Premier League broadcasting with AIS. I also spoke with the FAT several times, with the intention for GULF to take part in supporting Thai football.

During a recent visit to the UK, I met with the English Football Association (EFA) to discuss collaboration in establishing academies in Thailand and bringing in experts to train local referees, to which they agreed. This laid the foundation for our collaborative effort with AIS and JAS.

AIS brings strong expertise in live sports coverage, and together we ensure that even T2 and T3 competitions are accessible, especially in remote areas where long travel have long posed challenges. If football can reach every home and mobile phone, it will boost nationwide interest and viewership. This helps elevate Thai football while facilitating more transparency in competitions.

For T3, broadcasting is even more challenging due to remote venues. I have discussed with the satellite company Thaicom the potential of leveraging their technology with AIS infrastructure. This will allow us to deliver live broadcasts to every household in Thailand.

Football is not just a sport but a profession. With around 100 teams and nearly 10,000 individuals including referees, this support contributes to elevating Thai football and stimulating the economy. That is why we are here to support Thai football and live broadcasts.”

Mr. Somchai Lertsutiwong, Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited, commented that “AIS is thrilled to be a part in redefining the future of Thai football. We recognize the immense potential of Thai football industry, clubs, players, and the passionate support from fans nationwide. That is why we are determined to bring Thai League matches to the Thai people. As a leader in digital technology, AIS will utilize our strong digital infrastructure to deliver thrilling experiences from stadiums to screens. For the first time in history, Thai viewers will have access to every league match via AIS PLAY, our digital entertainment platform catered Thais, supported by intelligent networks, high-quality internet, and high-defenition broadcast technology. This collaboration will not only enhance fan experience but also fuel economic growth and sustainable development of the Thai sports industry.”

Dr. Soraj Asavaprapha, Chief Executive Officer of Jasmine International Public Company Limited, added that “JAS has acquired the full broadcasting rights of the English Premier League and FA Cup for six seasons, but our mission extends beyond global sports entertainment. We are dedicated to supporting the growth of Thai football, in collaboration with our partners GULF and AIS. Together with the Premier League, we aim to improve three fundamental areas: players, referees, and coaches, strengthening the potential of Thai football in the long term. With our media partner MONO, Thai League matches will be easily accessed for all audience. Fans can watch competition on TV via MONO29 channel and online on Monomax application, alongside a variety of content including movies, series, and the world-class sports Premier League and FA Cup. We would like to encourage Thai League fans to watch through official channels to empower sponsors like us to continue spearheading Thai football onto the global stage.”
