Jasmine Cyber Work launched, aims to be leading e-commerce and application service provider (ASP) in Asia - Pacific region
Jasmine Internet stimulates Internet market, plans to launch “Jasmine Cyber Work” project, aiming to be leading e-commerce and application service provider (ASP) in Asia-Pacific market. The main objective is to generate increasing revenues from the newly-created e-commerce, Internet-related projects, web-applications as well as software development.
Both push & pull marketing strategy will be applied to drive Jasmine Cyber Work to become the market leader in the shortest time. For pull strategy, Jasmine Cyber Work welcomes all proposals and creative ideas from individuals, teamwork or companies who desire to join and make the investment with Jasmine, ultimately to generate new products and services into the market. Jasmine Cyber Work will be a shareholder at the rational proportion, while the managerial authority will belong to the project owner. For push strategy, Jasmine Cyber Work also seeks for both local and overseas strategic partner. To serve the purpose, Business Development Department is set up to research and develop business within its group. The Company expected approximately 30-50 projects or subsidiaries to be settled and launched within the very first year. In addition, Jasmine Cyber Work plans to be the Internet Data Center for all types of content and applications, the effective Regional Internet Exchange Point, as well as the first high-security Web Farming Service Provider including firewall, access control, fire protection, remote room for its prime customers.
Jasmine Cyber Work will support new and qualified businesses and projects by offering free facilities includes initially 3,000 square meters of office space on Jasmine International Tower, office automation, LAN network, High Speed Internet Connection and High Security Web Farming. Connecting to JI-Net’s backbone located within Jasmine’s building will ensure partners that their businesses will be supported with the most efficient network. Local and international customers can easily access the web site at high speed rate without bottleneck problem. Furthermore, Jasmine Cyber Work will assist partners in setting accounting system, providing public relations to promote their web sites, as well as the advice on R&D by Jasmine’s expert team.
At present, three projects are ready for launching, and more line up for consideration. The first project is the collaboration with software house and consultant company which has more than 5 years experiences, especially expertise in dynamic web applications development for major organizations and leading educational institutes. Initially, as a trial project, the innovative games show web site that has around 20,000 members. To draw traffic and members, the Website uses collected points to get rewards and gifts and now has approximately 150 – 200 new members daily. The site is planned to develop into 5 languages, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and English. It plans also to be the first leader in Internet games show online in this region, applying various gimmicks to develop more dynamic contents such as to promote the auction that uses the collected points to gain reward. The web site will be officially launched in this early May 2000, with the bright future to boom and rapidly expand in the region.
The second project, Advanced Backoffice Portal Site, is planned to be launched in this early June. Advanced Backoffice Portal site mainly develops web-applications that assist SMEs to manage businesses on the NET, for example appointment schedule, document and project management, product catalogues, customer database and quotation. In the near future more applications, including Wireless Application Protocal (WAP), will be developed to support SMEs businesses. The Website positions itself to be the top business portal site for medium and small businesses in the future.
The third project on the developing process is an Asian tourism portal site that aims to be a Regional Contents Service (not only in Thailand). Other projects under consideration are Asian financial content provider site, import & export e-commerce site (under development with a foreign partner), and Interactive E-Auction site (applying Virtual Reality technology, under development with a foreign partner).
