Ji-NET cooperates with ePortal (Thailand) developing "eThailand.com", the leading business & investment portal site based in Thailand.
Jasmine Internet Co., Ltd., one of the leading ISPs under the name "Ji-NET", recently signed the marketing cooperation memorandum with ePortal (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or EP, the founder of "eThailand.com" leading portal website providing investors and executives with business & investment information in Thailand, with the objective of co-marketing and co-developing the information service online as well as co-technical supporting to provide a high speed Internet service at the utmost efficiency.
Mr. Somsak Padhana-anek, President of Jasmine Internet Co., Ltd., (Ji-NET) disclosed that as ePortal Thailand put confidences in Ji-NET's experiences and specialization in Internet and related businesses, therefore leads to mutual cooperation. Ji-NET becomes exclusive ISP Partner for eThailand.com.
Jasmine Internet (Ji-NET) will provide EP the technical supports i.e. leased line, web hosting in creating an entry point on EP portal site allowing visitors to search information more rapidly and easily through EP portal sites. Ji-NET and ePortal Thailand plans to co-operate in optimizing e-mail and customer database in formulating targeted marketing plans for various groups. Ji-NET services and products will be distributed via EP's network focused on eThailand.com and other affiliates portal sites such as thaigolfer.com, eMarketingAsia.com, which includes e-mails, newsletter, plus image media through offline media kits, name cards, headed notepaper. The Co-branding strategies will enable Ji-NET to be recognized by EP's members and partners which considered to be new market channels for Ji-NET.
Jasmine Internet has developed various kinds of products & services during the year. The Company launched "Ji-NET Data Center Service" providing share hosting, co-location server hosting and dedicated service hosting by utilizing the most advanced technology and security system at competitive price.
Other service of Ji-NET is ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) which is jointly operated with Lenso Datacom Co., Ltd., a service provider of ADSL under the name "Q-NET". Ji-NET provides leased line for ADSL high speed Internet service which will fasten the Internet and virtual private connection. Moreover, Ji-NET also has Integrated Services Digital Network or ISDN service targeting SMEs business clients.
As customers satisfaction is the core, Ji-NET has invested 5 milliom bath in establishing "Ji-NET Call Center Service", providing 24-hour customer services & support for Ji-NET clients. At present, the software and hardware system has already completed its installation.
Moreover, Ji-NET co-operates with iPass Inc. to provide Internet roaming service which will be launched in November this year. Ji-NET's business strategies are to cooperate with partners enhancing business opportunities and to expand new marketing channels.
For individual users, Ji-NET holds top market shares of starter Internet kits. Ji-NET's kits launched series of products into the market during the year including Millennium kits I and II, Ji-NET Movie Card which all received high success. The Company this month will launch 2 newest packages which are Ji-NET MAGIX PACK for Bangkok and suburban use clients pricing at 195 baht per 15 hours plus the chance to get free Internet up to 15 hours and 30 hours. Ji-NET FUNNY PACK is for the clients throughout the country pricing at 255 baht per 20 hour and 555 baht per 50 hour and the clients can choose the registered e-mail names on www.ji-net.com website.
At present, Ji-NET has 8,000 membership clients, 100,000 kits of individual clients and 75 corporate clients. The Company expects to have 100% member clients growth in 2001 and will expand the bandwidth from 10kbps to 20kbps within the year 2001 to increase Internet connection capacity.
