GlobalFilings, Inc. acquires AsiaJack.com, Inc., a Jasmine Cyberworks company, to provide Global online financial services

GlobalFilings, Inc. and Jasmine Cyberworks Co., Ltd. today announces that Global Filings has merged with AsiaJack.com Inc. GlobalFilings is a leading provider of global online financial services. AsiaJack.com, Inc.'s, principal investor is Jasmine Cyberworks, a regional Internet-related and e-commerce incubator. TRW, Inc., a NYSE listed company with US$ 20 billion sales in 2000, with businesses in aerospace, defense, automotive, and information system, is the largest shareholder of GlobalFilings.

Jasmine Cyberworks buys 62,541 stocks of AsiaJack.com Inc. at US$ 9.6 apiece, totalling US$600,000 or baht 25 million.

GlobalFilings believes that its merger with AsiaJack.com Inc. will create the most comprehensive database of company related financial data, documents, and software services to market to finance professionals worldwide. The merged firm's Globalfilings service will provide global coverage nearly double the size of the next largest competitive database with an immediate focus on North America and Asia.

GlobalFilings, Inc. was originally funded by TRW Inc., which operates the EDGAR corporate filing system for the US SEC, and Hitachi, Ltd., which owns Nissei Sangyo, provider of corporate data for the Japanese MOF. The company leverages unique technology and scaled processes to deliver detailed information on a timely basis to financial end users from document based sources including EDGAR and others. The service is web based or can be delivered in other formats to integrate with other services and other software applications.

AsiaJack.com, Inc. was originally funded by Jasmine Cyberworks in Thailand and has amassed an archive of corporate filings and detailed financial data that it believes is more comprehensive than any other service provider in the Asian market. It encompasses nearly 10,000 companies in nearly a dozen Asian countries complete with language translations.

The combination of the two firms shall result in an unmatched global service offering to financial institutions which increasingly require expanding global coverage with detailed, high quality information. The merged entity, to be known as GlobalFilings, Inc., will have North American headquarters in New York and Asian headquarters in Bangkok. Charles Russell will be the CEO of the new firm and Dawisee Sukarom will be CEO of GlobalFilings Asia. The company expects to roll out its first combined service offering, GlobalFilings, to select customers in April 2001.
