Jasmine
International acquired 65% of Info Access, an Internet Service Provider.
The remaining shares are held by the Communications Authority of
Thailand (presently is CAT Telecom Public Co.,Ltd. or CAT). Jasmine International resolves to use this along with
its experience in building and operating Internet Protocol networks
to create Thailand's leading Internet business. After acquiring
a 65% stake in Info Access, the company changed its name to Jasmine
Internet Co., Ltd. and the service is known as Ji- NET.
1998
Jasmine International Public Co.,Ltd. and its subsidiaries moved their offices from
Laksi Plaza to Jasmine International Tower on Chaengwatana Road,
Nonthaburi. Jasmine International Tower is 31-storey building of
advanced architectural design utilising advanced engineering and
communication technology, such as the building automation system.
The new building created greater efficiency for the group and is
the home of much of its telecommunications infrastructure.
As
a joint venture with the Communications Authority of Thailand
(presently is CAT Telecom Public Co.,Ltd. or CAT)., Smart
Highway Co., Ltd. was established to provide Non-Plain Old Telephone
Service (Non-POTS) for high-speed data communication services.
1995
To
undertake turnkey telecommunications projects which need design,
engineering, selection of appropriate equipment, installation and
testing, Jasmine Telecom Systems Co., Ltd. was set up.
1994
Jasmine
International Public Co.,Ltd. purchased 25% of Internet Knowledge Service Center
Co., Ltd. which at the time was Thailand leading Internet Service
Provider (ISP).
Thai
Telephone& Telecommunication Co.,Ltd. (presently known as TT&T
Public Co., Ltd.) was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand
under the trading name TT&T.
To
undertake business overseas through either direct investments or
joint ventures with local partners, Jasmine International Overseas
Co., Ltd. was established.
Jasmine
International Public Co.,Ltd. was first registered as a public company limited
and listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, using the trading
name JASMIN.
1992
For
the construction and operation of 1.5 million fixed telephone lines
in provincial areas of Thailand under a 25-year concession granted
by the Telephone Organization of Thailand (presently known as TOT
Public Co., Ltd.(TOT), Thai Telephone& Telecommunication
Co.,Ltd. (presently known as TT&T Public Co., Ltd) was
formed. This network has since become an integral part of communications
across the country.
1991
Jasmine
Submarine Telecommunications Co., Ltd. was established to construct
and operate a sturdy submarine fibre-optic cable network in the
south of Thailand, facilitating communication in southern areas
of the country and with Malaysia.
1988
To
work on the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) domestic satellite
network and the Integrated Satellite Business Network (ISBN), Acumen
Co., Ltd. was formed. These systems have become important components
of Thailand's telecommunications infrastructure.
1984
Siam
Teltech Computer Co., Ltd. was established to design turnkey computer
systems and operate a major business as a system integrator and
distributor of computer products.

Jasmine
International Co.,Ltd. was incorporated by a team of people with
experience in the telecommunications industry.
